Coloc Housing brings young Belgians together in shared housing: a conscious choice to live together with people you didn’t know before, but quickly get to know. More than twenty locations, spread throughout Belgium. In these shared living spaces, a stable internet connection is not just a nice-to-have. It’s the foundation of daily life.

Rapid growth, with twenty locations that all need to meet the same standards

Every new location raised the same questions: How do you ensure the network is up and running from day one? How do you provide twenty or thirty residents with their own secure connection without it becoming a technical burden? And how do you monitor the status of all those locations without having to drive out there every time?

Residents in a shared living space expect exactly the same thing as anywhere else: internet that works. During the day for working from home, in the evening for streaming, and always for video calls. A Wi-Fi problem in a coliving house affects everyone right away.

One platform for all locations, and each network operates independently

Whenever possible, we install fiber as the incoming connection. On top of that, we build a managed network with automatic failover: if the landline goes down, the system automatically switches to a mobile backup. Residents won’t even notice.

Through PPSK, each resident receives their own access code and a secure network segment. This means greater privacy in a shared environment and a lower risk that connections to or from other residents will cause problems.

Coloc manages all its locations from a single dashboard via amplr.cloud. Issues are detected early and, in most cases, resolved before anyone reports them. No technical background is required; the platform is easy to understand for anyone who wants to monitor the network. And if help is needed, the Amplr team is ready to assist.

The result: rolling out new locations without network headaches

The setup is identical at every location, so commissioning is not a project in and of itself. Expansion happens more quickly, without any variation in quality from one location to another.

Issues are detected via amplr.cloud before residents report them. And if something goes wrong, it’s rarely necessary for someone to come on-site. Coloc can focus on what they do best: building a close-knit community, not managing a network.
